Double-hung vinyl windows are a type of window that has an upper (outside) sash that slides down, and a lower (inside) sash that slides up. A vertical operating window consisting of two sashes of glass operating in a rectangular frame, both the upper and lower halves can be slid up and down and usually use a counterbalance mechanism to hold the sash in place.
This double-hung vinyl window is made of VEKA brand vinyl profile, white color in stock. Other co-extruded colors and film laminated colors available too. Glass types are single, double glazed or triple glazed.
The casement window can be divided into a side opening window and a hanging window according to the position of the hinge. The side opening window is opened horizontally, and the window sash is always balanced during the opening process, and there is no need to worry about the danger caused by the self-movement under the influence of gravity. Generally, it is used for the main window with a large area; the hanging window is opened in the vertical direction, and the opening angle is limited. Generally used for ventilation in kitchens, toilets, etc. The newer casement window can combine both sideways and suspended windows, allowing double-hung opening.

Are casement windows more energy-efficient than double-hung?
The top and bottom sashes of double-hung windows fit very snugly in the window frame, which limits air infiltration. This, coupled with multiple bulb seals makes the double-hung windows exceptionally energy efficient. Casement windows, on the other hand, tend to have a slightly tighter seal than double-hung windows when they are locked since there isn’t a track for casement windows to sliding on. The tighter the seal of the window, the more energy-efficient it is.
What is the difference between single hung and double-hung windows?
The difference is that with single-hung only the bottom sash moves, while the top half is permanently fixed. With double-hung, both sashes slide up and down. With fewer moving parts, single-hung windows conceivably are more weather resistant.
